Professional services firm seeks an experienced and detail-oriented HR professional to manage all aspects of human resources and payroll. This role requires a well-rounded individual who can handle employee relations, recruitment, compliance, benefits administration, and accurate payroll processing with confidentiality and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and process bi-weekly/monthly payroll accurately and on time
Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies
Lead recruitment efforts, including job postings, screening, interviewing, and onboarding
Administer employee benefits, leave programs, and performance management processes
Provide guidance to management and staff on HR policies, procedures, and best practices
Handle employee relations issues and conduct investigations when necessary
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local HR and payroll regulations
Support training and development initiatives
Drive HR initiatives aligned with organizational goals
Qualifications:
Proven experience in a similar HR and payroll role (3+ years preferred)
Solid knowledge of employment laws, payroll regulations, and HR best practices
Experience with multi-state payroll
Familiarity with benefits deductions and labor law compliance
Proficiency with payroll systems (e.g., ADP)
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and maintain confidentiality
Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
