Adelynrood has an opening for full time chef from May 6 to September 28. We do quality scratch cooking that is served buffet style for between 10 and 110 guests. Our food is seasonal and healthy, with a diverse and flexible menu. The kitchen is spacious, sunny, and well set up. We pride ourselves on offering fine dining in a rustic environment with a relaxed atmosphere. This a SEASONAL JOB. No evenings or holidays required!
You would be preparing breakfast and lunch, usually Tuesday to Saturday 6:00 AM to 2:30PM with occasional overtime. Experience cooking from scratch is essential. Baking skills for simple desserts are very helpful. We may have some scheduling flexibility.
We hope you would want to share your own specialties and to have the flexibility to adapt to the dietary needs of those we cook for. Must have your own transportation. There is no nearby public transit.
Responsibilities include:
Prepare and oversee daily breakfast and lunch buffet, ensuring high-quality food preparation and presentation.
Able to work accurately from recipes when needed.
Basic scratch dessert production.
Ability to adapt recipes to guests with special dietary requirements.
Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and training in cooking techniques and food safety.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Interacting with guests on a daily basis.
Ability to work on your feet for up to 8 hours at a time (with a break).
Able to work in an unheated and non air conditioned kitchen.
Very basic computer skills
