Sous chef will prepare food for events of various sizes and styles, including weddings, social celebrations, meetings, corporate events, and outside catering. They will work in a fast-paced environment and should be able to meet deadlines and work under pressure. The Sous Chef will directly with Executive Chef, also maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the kitchen.

Qualifications:

Culinary degree or equivalent experience

Serve safe certified a must, as well as Allergen Awareness

Experience in banquet cooking or in a similar role

Excellent communication and organizational skills

Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines

Experience with menu planning and creation

Ability to collaborate and work in a team environment

Flexibility in scheduling, including weekends and holidays

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds

Lake Pearl Wrentham is a mixed-use event and meeting venue located north of Providence County, RI. The venue sits on a 25-acre lake front property and can accommodate events of various sizes from small boardroom meetings to large trade shows. The property boasts a Grand Ballroom, Tree Top Room, Tree Top Lounge, and six smaller rooms for breakout meetings. Additionally, the venue features a New and Unique Belvedere Building and Boat House, which are perfect for, beach front ceremonies, and weddings, company outings, team-building events, and summer retreats.
