Job Overview:

Located in the southern Merrimack Valley, Independent 200 seat full-service restaurant open for 25 years seeking experienced General Manager. This would be a salaried position reporting directly to the business owner.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to oversee the operations of our establishment. The ideal candidate will have a background in Restaurant and Hospitality Management and possess strong leadership skills.

Duties:

- Budgeting proper labor and COGS to maintain bottom line profitability

- Recruiting, hiring, training, and scheduling of hourly staff

- Working closely with Executive Chef to monitor standards of food purchasing, preparation, and consistency

- In charge of ordering and / or monitoring purchases of all Liquor, Beer, and Wine

- Running Bi-Weekly payroll and ensuring accurate hours, rates, and pto / sick time accruals

- Managing reservations for both large groups and private functions

- Tracking inventory costs and theoretical inventory / variance for all food and beverage

- Streamlining the restaurant processes to improve the guest experience

- Enforcing food handling regulations, allergens, and other guidelines to ensure guest safety

- Promoting the restaurant and improving marketing for increased revenue

- Handling all guest relations

- Completing all necessary paperwork, such as budgeting, inventory, and attendance reports nightly in manager log.

Requirements:

- Proven experience in General Manager, Assistant Manager, Restaurant Management, and / or Hospitality Management roles

- 5+ years’ experience in full-service restaurant management

- Strong familiarity with inventory management, payroll, and overall team leadership

- Current ServSafe Management Certification preferred.

- Strong supervisory and team management skills

- Excellent leadership abilities

- Knowledge of kitchen operations and food service management
