Kitchen Manager will oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including staff management, inventory control, food safety compliance, and quality assurance while maintaining exceptional culinary standards and operational efficiency.
Essential Responsibilities
Lead and supervise kitchen staff, providing ongoing training, mentorship, and performance evaluations
Maintain and update recipe documentation, including seasonal specials
Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations
Comprehensive inventory management, including:
Monitor and manage inventory levels
Implement proper food rotation and storage practices
Oversee cleaning and maintenance of all restaurant equipment
Actively cover shifts as needed to ensure smooth operations
Actively participate in food preparation during peak periods
Collaborate with front-of-house management to maintain seamless service
Prepare staff schedules and maintain appropriate staffing levels
Work with ownership to achieve restaurant objectives and goals
Required Qualifications
5+ years experience in high-volume, full-service restaurant operations
Current ServSafe certification
Strong leadership and team management skills
Excellent problem-solving abilities and grace under pressure
Outstanding communication skills
Experience with inventory management and cost control
Additional Requirements
Valid driver's license
Ability to drive and pick up stock as needed
Food Handlers certification
Physical Requirements
Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
Must be able to stand for extended periods
Capable of lifting and moving kitchen equipment and supplies
Schedule Requirements
Flexible availability including weekends, and holidays
Ability to work extended hours as needed during peak periods
