The Baker is a key member of South End Buttery's baking team, responsible for supporting daily baking and prep operations, especially during high-demand seasons. This role is crucial in ensuring consistent product quality, maintaining kitchen efficiency, and supporting team objectives. We are in a period of growth, so the ideal candidate will be someone who may be seeking a more significant role in our management structure.

Core Responsibilities
- Execute daily baking and prep tasks according to production schedules
- Support opening operations with timeliness, accuracy, and attention to detail.
- Ensure products meet established quality and presentation standards.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Collaborate with team members and communicate needs or issues proactively, especially during high-volume periods.
- Provide additional support to the team during peak periods, such as holidays.
Skills & Experience
- Basic baking knowledge - professional degree preferred, but home baking experience is welcome.
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment (mixers, ovens, proofers, etc.).
- Team-oriented with clear communication and a collaborative attitude.
- Ability to follow recipes and production guides accurately.
Expectations
- Willingness to learn and follow established baking methods and systems.
- Comfortable working independently in a structured production environment.
- Strong work ethic, time management skills, and attention to detail.
- Must be available for early morning opening shifts and weekends.
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Experience: Professional Baking, at least 2-3 Years
Shift Availability: Day Shift (Early Mornings Required; most shifts begin at 3:30 AM).
Indoor garage parking is provided.
