Established bakery seeking an overnight Donut Baker to join our team. This role involves preparing dough, hand-cutting donuts, frying, glazing, and decorating in a timely fashion to produce consistent, high-quality finished donuts.
All donuts are made on premise nightly and from scratch. Must have previous experience. Must be familiar with large mixers (20+ pints), fryolator and jelly infusers.
Key Responsibilities:
Dough Preparation: Prepare and mix donut dough according to specified recipes, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
Hand-Cutting and Shaping: Roll and cut dough by hand to create uniquely shaped donuts. Use various tools and techniques to achieve consistent size and shape.
Frying: Operate fryers and monitor oil temperatures to ensure donuts are cooked to perfection. Fry donuts until golden brown, paying close attention to cooking times and conditions.
Glazing and Topping: Prepare and apply a range of glazes and fillings to enhance the flavor and appearance of the donuts.
Quality Assurance: Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards for taste, texture, and presentation. Make necessary adjustments to recipes and processes to address any quality issues.
Inventory and Supply Management: Track inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, and notify management when replenishment is needed. Manage storage of supplies, maintaining freshness and proper organization.
Sanitation and Safety: Maintain a clean and orderly workspace in compliance with health and safety regulations. Follow proper food safety practices, including hand washing and equipment sanitization.
Qualifications:
Skills: Proficient in hand-cutting and decorating donuts. Ability to operate and manage frying equipment. Strong attention to detail and creativity.
Physical Requirements: Capable of standing for extended periods, lifting 50 lbs, and performing repetitive tasks.
