Program Manager, Release Train Engineer

What We Need An energetic Release Train Engineer to drive performance across multiple Scrum teams on complex initiatives that impact multiple business areas. Focused on bringing new and innovative solutions to fruition across the entire product lifecycle. This role will also play a key role in driving the next level of agile transformation for the Value Stream. Ideal candidate is comfortable in both technical deep dive conversations, as well as executive business presentations.This role is eligible for our Flex persona.Your Day to Day

Owns and maintains Value Stream Jira workspaces, including agile roadmaps and release planning

Delivers multiple complex initiatives, each of which may impact multiple business areas

Helps the Product Owner enact effective backlog grooming techniques; facilitates sprint planning, daily scrum and sprint retrospectives; produces sprint burndown and other metrics

Ensures that milestones and releases deliver business value/outcomes

Identifies, communicates, and escalates (as necessary) impediments and roadblocks across multiple, interdependent streams of work

Focuses on the needs of the team. Spends time one on one with Scrum Masters and Product Owners to understand team’s unique styles; coaches teams to higher performance

Collaborates in a cross-functional matrixed environment; actively builds relationships with stakeholders

Acts as a servant leader and agile coach to team members throughout value stream with a focus on continuous improvement

Supports and/or delivers executive presentations

Manages timeline and financials along with risks, issues, decisions, and changes

Liaises with architecture and operations when there are dependencies to systems and infrastructure

Demonstrated experience managing multiple time-sensitive, complex initiatives, involving multiple stakeholders and/or external vendors

Knowledge of technology applications and software engineering in areas such as, data, analytics, business intelligence products, applications, platforms and/or systems, API, EDI and integration platforms

Track record of adopting agile mindset and coaching best practices

Excellent facilitation skills with ability to engage audience and drive active participation

Proven time management skills and ability balance competing priorities

Servant leader mindset to optimize team performance and collaboration

The ideal candidate would be:

Comfortable with managing strong personalities and external vendor relationships.

Experienced with technical initiatives, with an understanding of APIs, development, etc.

Experience with technology operations process and terminology for methodologies supporting business and technology collaboration, intake documentation, and/or handoffs; experience with project scoping, requirements, and user stories preferred.

Demonstrated experience managing projects/products using both traditional waterfall and agile/sprint methodologies.

What You Bring:

8+ years of demonstrated IT project management experience, including technical cloud-based vendor integrations

Proficiency for project management skills, Agile processes, quick learning capability, self-starter, and good communicator

Healthcare experience with strong coaching, collaboration, enablement and listening skills

Release Train Engineer Certified, by an industry recognized organization like SAFe

2-4 Years experience as an RTE within a healthcare technology organization

SAFe SPC certification a plus

Expert skills in development of user stories, Jira, and Confluence management.

Bachelor’s degree in technology or related major; Masters’ Degree a plus
