Summary LOCATION: LOCATION: This position is located in the Office of Hearings Operations Regional Office, Boston, MA, Thomas P. O'Neill, Jr. Federal Building, 10 Causeway Street, Suite 565, Boston, MA. TOUR OF DUTY: Flextime | Full-time | Alternate work schedules may be available; Incumbent may be required to travel. You may also view the full position description on the Agency intranet at the following link: PD Search The incumbent serves as an advisor to the Regional Chief Administrative Law Judge (RCALJ), the Regional Management Officer (RMO), and other management officials, providing high level coordinative, evaluative and analytical services relating to region-wide special studies, projects, and evaluations on a variety of matters relating to the programs administered by the agency, development and implementation of new program initiatives, and attainment of program goals and objectives. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Applicants must have 52 weeks of specialized experience at the GS-12 level, or equivalent, which is in or related to the work of the position to be filled and has equipped applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Examples of specialized experience include exhibiting comprehensive knowledge of the organizational structure, major issues, program goals and objectives and functions of OHO components and their interrelationships with other SSA components; exhibiting expert knowledge of Titles II and XVI of the Social Security Act in order to assess/revise/develop new policies and procedures; exhibiting comprehensive knowledge of program analysis principles, and techniques of analysis and evaluation; providing technical advice to employees in OHO and other SSA components; and presenting ideas and recommendations clearly both orally and in writing. Qualification requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement. Applicants for promotion must have 52 weeks at GS-12. The best-qualified list for this vacancy may be used to fill the same or similar positions in a component(s) under the same Deputy Commissioner. Additional selections may be made within 6 months of the date the best qualified list is issued. OTHER NOTES: This is not a career ladder position; GS-13 is the full performance level. This is a non-bargaining unit position. This position is eligible for telework. Relocation expenses will not be paid.
