Position Purpose: Under general supervision from the Metering Supervisor or other assigned supervisor, the Energy Monitoring Systems Technician will perform a variety of tasks including, but not limited to, commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting of electronic and mechanical metering data collection systems.Primary Duties/Responsibilities: Respond to service orders concerning customers, including equipment change-outs, device commissioning, and system troubleshooting.Use specific software to commission/program electronic/thermal/water meters, and remote data collection hardware, and complete all relevant paperwork associated with the assignment.Coordinate electrician presence onsite and execute project micro-management upon completion—follow up on any new opportunities.Communicate with customers, contractors, and co-workers, and respond to inquiries in a timely fashion.Perform other duties as required including occasional drawing reviews/updates, tenant surveys, and occasional meter reading.Partake in department workflow, stay aware of ongoing projects, and assist when necessary.Other duties as assigned.
