An established firm is seeking a highly experienced and licensed Civil Engineer for remote, project-based work.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of proven experience in developing comprehensive site plans, land development plans, sewage disposal systems, and drainage designs.
A key requirement for this role is demonstrable experience with preparing plans for sewer and water connections that strictly adhere to the specifications of the Boston Water and Sewer Commission (BWSC). Candidates must be proficient in interpreting and applying all relevant BWSC standards and regulations.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Developing detailed site plans for a variety of land development projects.
Designing efficient and compliant sewage disposal systems.
Creating effective and sustainable drainage designs.
Preparing and submitting plans for BWSC sewer and water connections, ensuring full compliance with their specifications and requirements.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
A Professional Engineer (P.E.) license is highly preferred.
A minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in civil engineering, with a strong focus on site and land development.
In-depth knowledge and proven experience with BWSC standards and plan requirements.
Proficiency in relevant design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and manage project deadlines effectively.
