We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Food Truck Manager to oversee daily operations, ensure top-notch customer service, and lead a small team in a fast-paced mobile food service environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to cleanliness, efficiency, and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

Daily Operations:

Open and close the food truck on schedule.

Ensure all equipment is functioning properly and safely.

Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards according to health codes.

Staff Management:

Hire, train, and supervise food truck staff.

Schedule shifts and manage payroll hours.

Foster a positive and productive work environment.

Customer Service:

Greet and interact with customers professionally and warmly.

Resolve customer complaints or concerns efficiently.

Inventory and Supplies:

Manage inventory levels and place orders for food and supplies.

Monitor food waste and implement cost-saving practices.

Sales and Financial Tracking:

Track daily sales and report revenue.

Manage cash drawer, handle POS transactions, and ensure financial accuracy.

Marketing and Events:

Coordinate with event organizers and schedule appearances at festivals or locations.

Assist with social media promotion and local marketing efforts.

Compliance and Safety:

Ensure all licenses, permits, and health certifications are current.

Train staff in food safety procedures and emergency protocols.

Qualifications

Proven experience in food service or hospitality (preferably in a mobile or quick-service environment).

Strong leadership and communication skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding setting.

Valid driver’s license (commercial license may be required).

Food handler’s permit or ServSafe certification (or willingness to obtain).

Preferred Skills

Experience operating a food truck or mobile kitchen.

Knowledge of local food safety regulations.

Basic mechanical knowledge (for minor truck or equipment issues).

Social media management skills.
