Position: Service and Parts Manager

Mazzotta Rentals, Inc. (MRI) is seeking a Service and Parts Manager to assist with operational, administrative, and management duties. This role involves managing technicians, maintaining parts inventory, and ensuring the highest level of customer service. The ideal candidate will be dependable, detail-oriented, possess strong leadership skills, and excel in a team environment. Superb communication skills, a broad understanding of equipment maintenance, and the ability to multi-task are necessary.
Responsibilities
Supervise, train, and mentor service technicians and parts staff.
Develop and implement service and parts department goals and objectives.
Monitor and improve team performance, ensuring high levels of productivity and quality.
Sustain timely and effective response to customer service inquiries and issues, provide expert advice, and promptly resolve customer concerns.
Oversee the scheduling and coordination of service work orders and repairs.
Manage parts inventory, including ordering, receiving, and stocking parts.
Retain accurate and efficient parts and service documentation and record-keeping.
Implement and maintain quality control standards and procedures.
Conduct regular inspections of service and repair work to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
Provide safety training, uphold OSHA requirements and audits.
Walk the yard daily to ensure safety, cleanliness, and organization standards are met.
Validate staged equipment meets Mazzotta standards. Check for trash, leaks, cuts, operator’s manual, and safety manual.
Collaborate with other service managers and branch managers to resolve issues.
Conduct touch base meetings with your branch manager, drivers, yard workers, service mechanics, and other direct reports. Discuss topics to include safety, process efficiencies, customer service, areas of improvement, and team member commendations.
Monitor expenses and identify opportunities for savings.
Communicate your business strengths and opportunities to the COO, CAO, and CFO. Present solutions and ideas for improvement in operations and sales growth.
Requirements
Proficiency in using service management software and tools such as Point of Rental and Rental Man.
Skilled in Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Excellent customer service skills.
Ability to meet deadlines under pressure and analyze data to make informed business decisions.
Self-motivated, highly organized, with impeccable attention to detail.
Superb communication skills and the ability to multi-task.
Effective leadership skills and the ability to organize and motivate your team.
In-depth knowledge of service or construction terminology, inventory management, equipment maintenance, and repair processes.
Reaching, bending, squatting, and lifting 50 pounds or more.
High school diploma required.
Preferred Education: Bachelor’s degree in related field.
Preferred Experience: 1-5 years’ experience in service or parts management within the equipment rental or similar industry.
Salary
