Description We are in search of a Payroll Specialist to join our team in UPPER MARLBORO, Maryland. As a Payroll Specialist, you will be working in the compensation and benefits industry, specifically handling payroll responsibilities. Your role will be fundamental in ensuring the smooth operation of our financial activities, from processing payroll to auditing accounts. Responsibilities Accurately process payroll using Accounting Software Systems like ADP and Sage Timberline Maintain and update employee payroll records in a timely and organized manner Resolve any payroll discrepancies and answer employee inquiries related to payroll Ensure compliance with auditing procedures and accounting functions Manage and update benefits functions regularly Apply Certified Payroll procedures to ensure legal compliance Utilize accounting skills to contribute to the efficient operation of the finance department Proactively communicate with other departments to resolve any payroll-related issues Continually enhance knowledge and skills related to payroll and benefit functions Ensure confidentiality and integrity of payroll information by adhering to data privacy regulations.All interested candidates in this Payroll Specialist and other full-time opportunities in the DMV please send your resume to contact Justin Decker via LinkedIn. Requirements Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Payroll Clerk or in a similar role. Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems and ADP - Financial Services. Demonstrated ability to perform Accounting Functions and Auditing tasks. Familiarity with Benefit Functions and Sage Timberline software. Possession of Certified Payroll credentials. High attention to detail and an ability to maintain confidentiality. Excellent numerical skills and an understanding of data privacy standards. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
