The responsibilities of Senior Project Control Analyst include managing the day-to-day activities in the PMO, providing guidance on PMO policies and processes, overseeing project management staff, and collaborating with other department leaders.Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Develop and maintain budgets/spend plans for new contracts and projects
Develop cost estimates for responses to requests for proposals
Interpret data and use analytical skills to provide accurate financial projections.
Prepare and conduct analysis of project financial data and other contract, project or business-related tasks
Forecast monthly ETC and projected EAC based on manpower, schedule, and travel and material inputs from Program, Project and Material Managers
Provide annual project forecasts to the finance department for incorporation into the corporate budget
Provide monthly project forecasts along with budget to actual variance to the finance department for tracking to the corporate budget
Monitor progress of program requirements and cost performance against spend plans to ensure contractual cost obligations are met
Perform financial/administrative reporting for contracts and/or programs to disseminate to customers, as well as internal and external interested parties
Monitor and report on project level of effort, as well as profit and loss
Establish financial procedures, controls, and forecasting techniques to evaluate contract/project status
Ensure compliance with government, customer, and corporate requirements
Participation in project status meetings both internally and with government customers
Respond to customer financial requests
Work closely with Subcontracts team to vet and award/manage sub awards, travel requests, invoicing approvals, trip requests and other deliverables, etc.
Other administrative duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
A minimum of 5 years experience in a budget, financial or project control analyst role
A minimum of 5 years experience with Government Contracts, preferably with Navy contracts
A minimum of 5 years experience with GAAP, CAS, and FAR Cost Principles
Advanced knowledge of Excel required to include sum if, look up formulas, pivot tables, and compound formulas
A minimum of 5 years experience with CostPoint or similar software required
Experience developing cost estimates and spend plans for Contracts of at least $50M in size
Demonstrated ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and also be able to collaborate with other departments
Must be highly organized with attention to detail
Must have good communication skills, both written and verbal
Desired Qualifications
Knowledge of ISO 9001 standard and be able to adhere to corporate standards
Education Requirements
