Entry-Level Baggage Systems Design Specialist

AECOM is seeking an Entry-Level Baggage Systems Design Specialist to be based in Hunt Valley, MD.This position is expected to begin in Summer 2025. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:The Entry-Level Baggage Systems Design Specialist will be part of a dynamic team responsible for designing and implementing state-of-the-art baggage handling systems for airports around the world. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in mechanical and electrical engineering, project management, and system integration.Design and Documentation: Assist in the mechanical and electrical design of baggage handling systems, including creating installation drawings and design reports.Project Participation: Participate in project meetings and design reviews, contributing to the design, stakeholder engagement, and construction phases.Component Integration: Learn how various components from different suppliers are integrated into a system of systems that ultimately transports checked baggage from the ticket counter check in conveyors, through TSA screening and to the airplanes.Support and Collaboration: Work closely with multiple disciplines including architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical and civil teams to produce a fully coordinated set of documents to airport clients.Ad Hoc Tasks: Perform various ad hoc tasks as needed to support the project and team.
