Marriott’s Law Department services the Company's lodging and hospitality business and provides legal advice and counsel to Marriott’s internal clients.The Global Privacy Manager – Privacy Impact Assessments - is responsible for supporting the development and implementation of Marriott’s maturing Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) and Privacy by Design (PbD) programs. This position will primarily support the day-to-day workflow of the PIA program, including the development and execution of PIA and PbD training and awareness campaigns and communications. In addition, this role will assist the broader Global Privacy Team in a variety of projects and initiatives on an as-needed basis.This position reports directly to the Director, Global Privacy - PIAs.Expected ContributionsThe primary responsibilities of this position include:

Managing the day-to-day workflow of the PIA program, including reviewing, and analyzing projects assigned by the Director to determine if a PIA is required, reviewing completed PIAs, and coordinating requests for additional information and documentation with the business.

Assisting with the implementation of procedures and processes related to Marriott’s PIA and PbD processes, which include partnering with Marriott’s internal stakeholders, such as Global Information Security, Enterprise Architecture, IT Procurement, HR, and other appropriate business functions.

Preparing materials, such as standard operating procedures, training decks and speaker notes, emails to business partners, meeting decks, and briefing documents, related to PIA and PbD trainings and communications.

Assisting with the maintenance of PIA program business resources and documentation.

Assisting the Director, Global Privacy and PIAs with establishing and implementing procedures for identifying and responding to changes in the regulatory landscape around PIAs and DPIAs.

Serving as the primary point of contact with the PIA platform vendor (OneTrust), from a business and technical perspective.

Assisting the Director, Global Privacy and PIAs with managing the budget for the PIA program by tracking project spend and costs to ensure the projects are completed on-time and on-budget.

Assisting with the preparation of materials, including metrics generally for the Privacy Governance Board, Oversight Committee, and the Continent Privacy Committee meetings regarding updates to the PIA and PbD program.

Participating in additional Global Privacy initiatives as necessary, including the Company’s individual right requests, complaints, and privacy incidents.

Collaborating with Law Department colleagues and internal stakeholders.

Candidate ProfileSuccessful candidates should possess knowledge and experience and demonstrate strong leadership and relationship skills as follows :

4-year bachelor's degree in a relevant area of study from an accredited University.

4 years of relevant work experience.

Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP), Project Management (PMP) certification, or other relevant professional certification a plus.

Privacy or consulting experience a plus.

Experience with OneTrust and/or ServiceNow a plus.

Understanding of international privacy laws, regulations, compliance, and best practices.

Strong drafting/writing skills

Good written, oral, and presentation skills.

Good analytical and project management skills.

Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and resources with a sense of urgency.

Creative problem-solving skills.

Outstanding interpersonal skills to effectively build relations and interact with associates at all levels within the organization.

High degree of initiative and good judgment to effectively resolve issues.

Ability to work and influence a wide range of cross-functional teams and leaders within a matrixed organization.

Good project management and communications skills; and

Proficiency with enterprise content management systems, collaboration tools, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint applications.
