Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Service Advisor/Writer to join our team. As a Service Advisor/Writer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our service center. Your primary responsibilities will include providing expert guidance to customers, recommending and scheduling service and repairs, and upselling our range of automotive services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers courteously and professionally, building positive relationships.
- Listen to customer concerns and accurately diagnose automotive issues.
- Provide detailed service recommendations and cost estimates to customers.
- Schedule and coordinate service appointments efficiently.
- Promote and upsell preventive maintenance services, oil, lube, filter changes, DOT inspections, engine and transmission rebuilds, and more.
- Ensure accurate documentation of vehicle service and repair records.
- Collaborate with the service team to prioritize and complete repairs in a timely manner.
- Keep customers informed about the status of their vehicles and any necessary updates.
- Maintain a strong knowledge of automotive industry trends and technologies.
- Consistently meet or exceed sales targets and customer satisfaction goals.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Service Advisor/Writer in an automotive service environment.
- Expertise in gas and diesel vehicles, preventive maintenance, oil, lube, filter changes, DOT inspections, engine and transmission rebuilds.
- Strong sales and upselling skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in computer software for service scheduling and record-keeping.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic team environment.
- ASE certification or similar automotive certifications preferred.
