Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in criminal proceedings, including arraignments, trials, and appeals.
- Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategies.
- Draft legal documents, including motions, briefs, and pleadings.
- Provide legal advice and counsel to clients regarding criminal matters.
- Negotiate with opposing counsel to reach favorable resolutions for clients.
- Attend court hearings and other legal proceedings as required.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files and records.
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admitted to the bar in Maryland with a current license in good standing.
- Minimum 1 year of experience practicing criminal law and/or litigation.
- Strong understanding of criminal law procedures and courtroom practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Demonstrated ability to manage a high-volume caseload efficiently.
- Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Prior trial experience is highly preferred.
