Property Management Attorney - Maryland

We are a leading property management company in Maryland, and are seeking a highly motivated attorney to join our growing team.

Responsibilities:

Represent the company in legal matters related to tenant relations, including but not limited to:

Non-payment of rent

Tenant holdover

Wrongful detainer actions

Rent escrow disputes

Garnishment proceedings

Small claims court appearances

Draft and review legal documents, such as complaints, summonses, and court orders.

Maintain an understanding of Maryland landlord-tenant laws and relevant court procedures.

Work collaboratively with property managers and other internal teams to ensure efficient case resolution.

Stay up-to-date on legal developments affecting the property management industry.

Qualifications:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree and a valid Maryland bar license.

Minimum of experience in landlord-tenant law, with a focus on residential properties, preferred.

Experience with Maryland District Court matters, including complaints, hearings, and trials, a plus.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and prioritize deadlines.

Proficient in legal research and case management software.
