We are a specialty construction firm in Ellicott City, MD. We are seeking individuals to be trained for management of laborers. The laborers perform a wide range of duties including, but not limited to: Lifting and moving materials, loading and unloading products and machinery from vehicles, excavating and refilling holes, and routine grounds maintenance tasks. The individual will assist the crew chief with production, and provide assistance in an overall team effort.
The work environment may often include inclement weather, working in confined spaces, and working with various types of equipment. The individual must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record. The individual must be able to pass a drug screening test to obtain necessary government clearances. The individual must be able to understand basic measurements in feet and inches, have the ability to stand for long periods of time, be able to operate a variety of simple and complex construction tools and machinery, and be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
This individual MUST be able to listen and comprehend oral and written instructions accurately to learn the company's products, processes, safety procedures, installation techniques, and equipment use.
