Description Our client is hiring a business systems analyst who is experienced with Banner ERP system. This role requires on-site attendance daily and a Bachelor's degree. This candidate will be supporting the functional areas of Admissions, Financial Aid, and Registrar and providing maintenance of the College’s Student Information System (Banner). Responsibilities/Duties:

Work with functional areas to ensure optimal IT functionality for systems such as Banner and other related IT systems.

Identify, design, and implement improvements to the Banner (ERP) system and related processes.

Support and improve integrations between the College’s ERP (Banner), Student Information Systems (Banner), Learning Management System (Canvas), and third-party applications.

Lead data clean-up projects and systems integration projects.

Develop strategies to constantly improve the integrity of data in the ERP system (Banner), including the development of reports and statistics to monitor data integrity.

Monitor developments in Banner ERP and other IT systems through listservs, training opportunities, user groups, publications, and professional groups.

Perform complex technical work related to analyzing and resolving problems with the ERP system (Banner) and Learning Management System (Canvas), playing a key role in testing, documentation, and training of business processes related to the Student Information System (Banner) and Learning Management System (Canvas).

Assist in compiling and preparing statistical data according to State and Federal regulations, policies, and guidelines.

Work closely with functional areas in configuring and testing Student Information System (Banner) upgrades and related system changes, as well as current and forthcoming software from the Department of Education and Maryland Higher Education Commission for monitoring, processing, and reporting of grants, scholarships, loans, and other sources of financial assistance.

Provide training on application functionality.

Be available for evening and weekend hours as required for configuration changes and end-user support.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Computer Science, or related field.

Minimum of five years of experience with Higher Education Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) applications.

Knowledge of student management, financial aid, finance, and human resources in a higher education setting.

Demonstrated experience with Structured Query Language (SQL) for databases.

Demonstrated experience with software design and documentation.

Demonstrated experience with the Software Development Life Cycle Process (Including Waterfall and Agile project management methodologies), capturing software requirements, software maintenance, and promoting process improvement.

Proven problem-solving skills, strategic planning ability, excellent oral & written communication skills, and capability in data transformation and analysis.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience and knowledge of Banner ERP implementation.

Skill in collaborating with multiple constituents.

Knowledge of Argos report writing.

Knowledge of Ethos application integration.

Knowledge of Web Services and API-driven integration methodologies.

Knowledge of functionality testing procedures.

Knowledge of end-user training and support principles.

Knowledge of database management concepts.

Knowledge of change management processes.

Knowledge of database programming and scripting principles.
