Description We are searching for a HR Director to join our team within the education industry. This role is located in Baltimore, Maryland, and offers a short-term contract employment opportunity. You will be responsible for strategic HR planning and operations, ensuring compliance with university policies and fostering positive employee relations. Responsibilities: Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the university's goals Oversee HR operations, ensuring alignment with administrative policies and procedures Ensure compliance with university and legal requirements regarding HR practices Foster positive employee relations and address any employee concerns or conflicts Implement standard operating procedures for HR functions Utilize HRIS systems, such as Workday, for efficient management of HR data Develop and enforce credit policies and procedures within the university Collaborate with other departments to ensure the smooth operation of all HR matters. This role requires a broad range of skills, including compliance management, employee relations, administrative policy development, standard operating procedures, and familiarity with credit policies and procedures. Knowledge of Workday HRIS is also necessary.Requirements Proven experience in a similar HR Director role within the education or university sector. Extensive knowledge and practical application of compliance within the education sector. Strong employee relations skills, with the ability to manage complex situations effectively. Experience in developing, implementing, and maintaining administrative policies. Familiarity with standard operating procedures within the HR department of an educational institution. Knowledge of credit policies and procedures in relation to the education sector. Proficiency in using Workday HRIS for HR management tasks. Excellent leadership and strategic planning abilities. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work collaboratively with various departments within the university. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Relevant professional certifications would be advantageous.
