Environmental Engineer III

AECOM is actively seeking an Environmental Engineer III to join our Remediation team in Annapolis Junction, Maryland. The individual will be committed to the team's success and growth; will rigorously apply safety policies and procedures; will manage the technical, cost and schedule elements of project delivery; and will effectively manage the quality of field efforts and project deliverables within the Remediation Business Line.The selected candidate for the role will be responsible for executing large and complex engineering projects and provide a comprehensive range of professional planning and design, systems engineering and technical assistance, program and construction management, and operations and maintenance services. The team provides technical skills on projects within the department and will develop strong relationships with the team and clients to enable pursuit of new opportunities.The job responsibilities for the position will include, but are not limited to:Serves as lead engineer on mid- to large size projects in the areas of contaminated sediments, soil and groundwater remediation, environmental compliance, regenerative remediation and sustainability.Provides specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise.Approves and signs off on work.Provides strong technical expertise for studies and design efforts.Presents complex technical solutions to clients.Performs quality control reviews of work developed by others.Participates in development of technical proposals.Provides estimates for the engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements on large projects.Maintain existing client relationships and contracts by successful project delivery.Serve as a technical leader, project manager and program manager.Attend client meetings and coordinate with multi-disciplinary project teams.Work with the Program Manager and Senior Practice Leaders to contribute to business growth.Participate in national organizations, as appropriate on behalf of AECOM.Lead AECOM client development and design efforts and recruit new talent to build AECOMs team.
