We're a very well established small retailer in the Annapolis Historic District operating one brick-and-mortar location and a web store, and we are seeking a new part-time bookkeeper since our long-time professional is moving on to new ventures.
Responsibilities for the position include -
Bank reconciliation, accounts payable, cash counting & bank deposit prep
Preparation 1099s, and W2s, process payroll
Filing and organizing of business documents
Candidate requirements:
5+ years of bookkeeping experience
Outstanding interpersonal and communications skills in relating to owners and team members
Excellent QuickBooks skills and ability to work hand-in-hand with our CPA
Excellent references and trustworthiness
Our bookkeeper works closely with the business owners in maintaining accurate books and well-managed finances. This position requires between 2-4 hours per week, and is ideal for a freelance bookkeeper who is seeking an additional client. We are generally flexible on when our bookkeeper works.
Training and orientation will be provided by owners and our present bookkeeper.
