Thistle & Grouse, a Modern Gastropub, is seeking a Full Time Sous Chef
Candidates Should:
Have 2+ Years Experience Working as a Line Cook in a Fine Dining or Upscale Casual Dining Restaurant. Management Experience isn't required if you have the right mindset, work hard (smart), and fast. This position is not entry level.
Be driven to grow, learn, and expand. There is room to grow into a Chef de Cuisine with the Will & Girl Restaurant Group.
Have strong cooking skills. Be able to cook meats, seafood and vegetables properly to temperature under pressure of a busy restaurant. Have solid knife skills.
This position can, and will grow into a Chef de Cuisine position over the next 15 months. We are moving our Bar Harbor Restaurant, Salt & Steel, into the Portland market and need strong team players around us.
