Salvage BBQ is currently seeking skilled and passionate Cooks to join our culinary team. Cooks will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes according to recipes and standards while maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment. This role offers an exciting opportunity for individuals with a love for cooking and a desire to contribute to a dynamic culinary operation.

Key Responsibilities:

Food Preparation: Prepare ingredients and cook a range of dishes according to established recipes and specifications.

Cooking and Presentation:

Execute cooking techniques with precision to ensure that all dishes are cooked to perfection and presented attractively. Pay close attention to flavor, texture, and visual appeal.

Menu Development: Collaborate with the culinary team to develop and refine menu items, incorporating seasonal ingredients, culinary trends, and customer feedback.

Quality Control: Monitor food quality throughout the cooking process, ensuring that all dishes meet our standards for taste, appearance, and consistency. Take corrective action as needed to address any issues.

Kitchen Organization: Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized kitchen environment at all times. Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines

Inventory Management: Assist in inventory management tasks, including ordering, receiving, and storing food supplies. Minimize waste and control costs by using ingredients efficiently and effectively.

Team Collaboration: Work closely with other members of the culinary team, including chefs, sous chefs, and kitchen staff, to coordinate food preparation activities and ensure smooth kitchen operations.

Qualifications:

Experience as a Cook or Line Cook in a restaurant, hotel, or similar setting. (preferred but not required).

Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, culinary fundamentals, and food safety practices.

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Effective communication and teamwork abilities.

Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
