Busy local restaurant looking for a Kitchen Manager. We are gearing up for the busy summer in the lakes region and need to fill this vital role.
Candidates need to have open availability including nights, weekends and the ability to open or close. We're not open late, so closing is a breeze!
The ideal applicant will have experience in a busy, high volume kitchen with multiple revenue centers. Being able to multitask, leading a team of cooks while pulling oven is a must.

A Portland Pie Manager addresses specific responsibilities in the restaurant including but not limited to staff training, product ordering, and inventory. This position requires strong leadership skills along with restaurant and management experience both in the back and front of the house. This position is filled by a candidate who is committed to the long-term success of the restaurant and Portland Pie Company.
Qualifications:
- Experience in managing a large, diverse staff with an emphasis on hiring, training, coaching, and cultivating a teamwork atmosphere
- Full understanding of food/labor costs; how to run and control inventory levels.
- Diploma or GED is required. Associates / Bachelor's Degree is preferred
- 1-3 years experience in a Management role in the hospitality/restaurant industry.
- Strong culinary skills and or industry education/training highly preferred
- Ability to work a fully flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to work in a high volume, fast-paced environment
Responsibilities:
- Manage standards and commitment to quality timely and efficiently.
- Uphold a commitment to all safety and sanitation practices.
- Operate with a high degree of Professionalism, Ethics and Integrity, maintaining a role-model image.
- Review invoices for accuracy of delivery and pricing.
- Audit product and inventory procedures.
