We have openings for attorneys licensed in Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas to join a busy law firm a heavy caseload. The ideal candidate should have at least one year of experience working in some kind of litigation. However, experience is not an impediment. We are willing to train the right person.
Each successful candidate's responsibilities would depend on experience and familiarity with legal work. At a minimum, the work would include:
Conducting prospective client intakes and other client contact services;
Drafting of pleadings;
Drafting of client letters and other letters;
Obtaining materials (photos, documents, etc.) from prospective clients.
E-filing of documents;
Filing documents in state court;
Creating templates of responses to written discovery;
Responsibility for simple legal documents (subpoenas, waiver of service of summons, etc.).

This is a 100% in-person position. Would consider telecommuters on a parttime basis. Free on street parking is available.
