Since 2002, Bacchanal has become a wine mecca where food, music and culture collide with vino to create unique and magical evenings in New Orleans' Bywater neighborhood.
Currently, we are looking for someone to join the crew through June 1st to work 4 shifts per week and weekend availability. This role will be in charge of a busy station that is supported by a large department. At Bacchanal, the dish washer is part of a team and has to be comfortable working in groups and giving and receiving directions in a bustling kitchen.
This is a physical job so the ideal candidate for this position is light on their feet and can stand for hours at a time. Compensation begins with a $12 hourly base plus an equal share of the tip pool for every hour worked. All staff make the same hourly tip rate as every other position in house. Every position worked is essential to making the party go round.
Applicants must be able to stand and execute physical labor (lifting up to 30 pounds continuously) in fluctuating temperatures (we go outside rain or shine) for lengthy periods of time in a collaborative environment.
Although we are a limited service eatery, we love hospitality and hope to find someone who has a genuine love of people and working in the industry. Operating with an 'all hands on deck' mentality, there is very little discerning between front of house and back of house and our staff is often called upon to perform a wide variety of tasks from running food, deep cleaning, working off-sites, washing dishes etc.
