Since 2002, Bacchanal has become a wine mecca where food, music and culture collide with vino to create unique and magical evenings in New Orleans' Bywater neighborhood.
Currently, we are looking for full time runner and/or dishwasher with weekend availability to join our team. This role is a hybrid position and applicants must be able to move between many different tasks from talking to guests, running food, loading the dish machine and more. This is also a seasonal position - looking for people interested working from now until the end of May.
This is a physical job. Candidates must be able to can comfortably walk up and down stairs, lift up to 30 lbs repeatedly, carry a food tray and work outside (rain or shine) with live music.
As every position in house plays an essential role in making the party roll, all service staff (including kitchen, bar and wine) start an hourly base of $12 p/h with an equal share of the tip pool based on hours worked as opposed to position worked.
Although we are a limited service eatery, we keep hospitality at the front of our interaction (with each other and our guests) and invite the staff to join us in hosting. We operate with an 'all hands on deck' mentality meaning there is very little discerning between front of house and back of house.
