Summary: Final Inspection of Customer Work after Processing
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Hardness testing of heat-treated parts, utilizing the superficial, standard Rockwell, and Microhardness testing machines.
Check parts for total and effective case depths.
Prepare samples for microscope review.
Performs tests to verify calibration of machines.
Review Work Order for completeness.
Must be good with paperwork and attention to detail.
Reports out of specification work to Supervisor.
Overtime and weekend work per schedule.
Qualifications, Education & Experience:
High School Diploma or GED
Quality Testing – a plus
Knowledge of Microscopes – a plus
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Basic Skills in Microsoft Word and Excel.
