Kelly Science & Clinical is currently seeking candidates for a Lab Technician for an environmental lab in the Lafayette Louisiana area. The overall responsibility of the position is to perform a variety of analyses including organics, inorganics, heavy metals, and volatiles on water, soil, and air samples. Job Responsibilities:
Prepare samples for analysis by digestion, extraction, etc.
Perform analyses per customer specifications following SOPs
Record test results into LIMS
Maintenance and troubleshooting of laboratory equipment
Job Requirements:
College coursework in science is preferred
0-2 years’ experience in a testing related field
Ability to learn how to perform a variety of tests according to customer specifications
Understand what tasks must be completed each day and take the initiative to complete those tasks properly and timely
Ability to work alone periodically without supervision
Good computer and communication skills
This is a direct hire opportunity with a Monday through Friday day shift work schedule. Pay rate is dependent upon level of education and applicable experience.
