BluePearl Specialty Pet Hospital is looking for a Veterinary Technician Supervisor with passion and the ability to help motivate, engage, and train a team of veterinary professionals to join our team in Lafayette, CO.Vet Tech Supervisor Pay: $28.84 - $45.16 / hourThis pay band is a starting point and is dependent on experience and advancement through CareerTrax leveling system .The Veterinary Technician Supervisor provides first-line supervision and facilitates the delivery of remarkable care for pets. The Supervisor coaches and mentors assigned groups (Specialty), ensures clear communication of policies nd performance standards, builds effective working relationships, and performs Veterinary Technician or Advanced Patient Care Associate floor responsibilities alongside supervised group.Essential responsibilities and tasks include:
Demonstrates advanced proficiency as a Veterinary Technician or Advanced Patient Care Associate within their appropriate department and maintains all related skills and knowledge.
Technician supervisor will have 75% of time spent on the floor.
Creates effective working relationships with hospital leadership to facilitate communication of ideas, policies, standards and performance.
Coaches supervised group for strong performance and productivity in the delivery of medical services to patients.
Serves as a mentor to lower-level staff by demonstrating positive work habits, effective clinical skills and business knowledge.
Facilitates an environment of ongoing communication and feedback.
Implements process improvement initiatives that remove barriers to excellent service.
Coaches team members to be continuously aware and proactive at anticipating and addressing patient and client needs and to seek assistance with escalated, stressful situations.
Works with hospital leadership to organize Veterinary Technician and Assistant meetings.
Works with the Technician Trainer to organize training schedules for Technician staff.
Identifies conflicts in the workplace and seeks assistance in resolution in order to create effective working relationships.
Provides feedback related to Technician performance to hospital leadership and works with them to develop performance improvement plans.
Works with hospital leadership to create schedule for Veterinary Technicians and Assistants
Candidate must be a licensed Veterinary Technician or an Advanced Patient Care Technician.
Demonstrated supervisory capacity is required.
