Participates in continuous improvement events and routinely participates in 5S activities.

Actively participates in shift relief (Tier 1 meeting).

Operates complex equipment such as controls that regulate mix, feed, and flow of chemicals including responsibility for proper functioning of equipment in Apollo units.

Observes data from controllers and recorders to make process changes and troubleshoot malfunctioning equipment.

Redirects or shuts off feeder lines during emergencies and alerts supervisor of action taken.

Participates on process improvement teams.

Makes scheduled routine inspections of operating areas to observe operating conditions and reports any irregularities.

Creates work notifications on equipment needing repair in operating area.

Collects and records operating data, runs variety of routine control checks during operations and makes appropriate operational changes.

Makes process changes as necessary to meet various operational requirements.

Makes minor repairs to operating equipment as needed.

Follows standard practices and procedures as established for plant operations.

Modifies/Reviews operating procedures on an annual basis.

Required member of emergency brigade.

Potential OJT certification and training of new operators as required.

Performs all necessary housekeeping duties in area.

Hazardous waste sampling, hazardous waste packaging/loading duties, container marking and labeling, hazardous waste container handling and management, respond to chemical spills and releases, and conduct and document routine inspections

Performs all other duties as required / assigned.

Able to climb 200 foot of stairs at times, Able to work in PPE, Able to open close valves up to 100 lbs of force, Able to lift up to 100 pounds.

Working rotating shifts 48 hours one week and 36 the following rotating days to nights and falls on weekends. Shift hours: 3AM-3PM day shift and 3PM to 3AM night shift and drafted 16 hour days.Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which i defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.You Must Have:High School Diploma or GED3+ years' experience working within a manufacturing environmentValid driver's licenseWe Value:Experienced in a chemical manufacturing plantTWIC Card eligibleExperience with OSHA/PSM regulationsKnowledgeable in safety, quality and process controls Honeywell is an equal opportunity employer.
