Job OverviewWe have an opening for an HR Benefits Analyst to evaluate existing benefit programs and propose changes, as well as developing new programs. Will be responsible for supporting the benefits area including responding to employee questions, handling claims issues, and assisting with other administrative duties.Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
Determines employee benefit practices by benchmarking best practices; researching industry and employment trends; tracking legislation and estimating impact.
Evaluates proposed employee benefit contracts by studying provisions; estimating impact.
Explains employee benefits by conducting meetings; preparing written and graphic announcements and explanations; responding to requests.
Provides management planning and control information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing employee benefit data and trends.
Maintains employee confidence by keeping benefit information confidential.
Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
Accomplishes human resources and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
Works with HR partners and employees to answer any questions or concerns
Handles all billing for the various Health and Welfare Benefits
Is the daily contact for the various Health and Welfare Benefits
Back up the Retirement team member at times
Works with the HRIS individuals on the weekly feeds for accuracy and follow up items
Works with the various vendors on any issues/discrepancies bringing them to a successful resolution
Handles all International vendor relationships and programs
Main contact for ACA annual filings
Main contact for all wellness programs and set up
Assists with the annual OE event and all communications related to the Health and Welfare Benefit Plans
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or related field a plus
Must have 8+ years of HR experience as a Benefits Analyst
Experience with PeopleSoft and JD Edwards HR Systems helpful
Excellent analytical skills; proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Strong oral and written communication demonstrating a high level of confidentiality and customer focus.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail; must be able to prioritize and multi-task
Ability to work in a team-focused, collaborative environment.
Ability to work independently with a sense of urgency in a complex and changing working environment.
Must have the ability to work full time.
Must be able to work in an office environment.
Knowledge of HR practices, procedures, required documentation and compliance requirements required
