We are looking for a dedicated Staff Accountant to be a part of our team.Job Summary and QualificationsGalen College of Nursing, located in Louisville, KY is seeking a full-time Staff Accountant to join our growing accounting team.Position Responsibilities:
Prepare general ledger journal entries to multiple entities.
Perform both routine and ad hoc detailed analytical reviews and reports.
Prepare monthly reconciliations for assigned balance sheet accounts, including documentation to support all balances.
Reconcile multiple bank accounts.
Assist accounts payable function by collecting and coding vendor invoices into accounting system. Assist with biweekly check runs.
Assist with annual Forms 1099-Misc and 1098-T preparation.
Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously, work effectively in a team environment and meet strict deadlines.
Demonstrates professionalism, discretion, and good judgment in all interactions with co-workers, customers, vendors and others.
Maintain strictest confidentiality to ensure that privileged and/or proprietary information is adequately safeguarded against disclosure.
Other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:Education: Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance, or related field. CPA or CPA candidate preferred but not required.Special Qualifications: Candidate must have a high attention to detail and be process oriented.
