You will be required to:Play a critical role in maintaining consistency, equity, and compliance with organizational policies and external regulations.Conduct job analysis and evaluation to determine the appropriate classification of positions. Develop and maintain job descriptions, ensuring they accurately reflect the responsibilities, qualifications, and competencies required for each role.Collaborate with HR teams, managers, and subject-matter experts to review and update job classifications as needed. Interpret and apply classification standards, guidelines, and regulations.Provide guidance to HR staff, managers, and employees regarding job classification matters.Participate in compensation studies and salary benchmarking to ensure competitive pay structures.Demonstrate knowledge of higher-education and healthcare trends, legal changes, and best practices related to job classification.Maintain compliance with organizational policies and legal requirements.If you are working over 30 hours per week as a STEPS employee, you may be eligible for health benefits at the same rate as regular, full-time employees.Skills / Knowledge / Abilities Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, BusinessAdministration, or a related field (advanced degrees orcertifications are advantageous). Prefer five to seven years of experience in job classification,preferably in a large organization or government agency. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Knowledge of federal and state regulations related to jobclassification. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively and provide expert advice tostakeholders.
