This engineer may serve in the role of project manager for transportation projects and serve as a representative of Jacobs at meetings, presentations, and public hearings/reviews relative to assigned projects.The successful candidate will possess knowledge and experience in:

Planning, analysis, design, plan preparation, specification development, bridge inspections, and report writing.

Must have strong background in structural engineering analysis and design and have a proven background of technical leadership on structural transportation projects.

Bachelors or Masters Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering preferred

Minimum 3 years of demonstrated experience on various types of bridges, to include analysis, design and plan development of new and rehabilitation projects

Previously demonstrated project experience with IowaDOT

Solid understanding of and practical experience applying the AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications to transportation structures.

Ability to be present in the Des Moines, Iowa office a minimum of two days per week.

Ideally, you will also have:

PE license in Iowa

Experience and ability to lead tasks or projects for various types of bridges, to include analysis, design and plan development of new and rehabilitation projects

Demonstrated proficient knowledge of SAP2000, CSiBridge, Larsa, Midas, Lusas or other structural design/analyses programs strongly desirable.
