- Design and enforcement of data governance policies and procedures.
- Management of the enterprise data catalog.
- Ensuring data-centric software and hardware solutions are planned and designed in accordance with information technology strategies, standards, and architecture principles
- Lead evaluation, design, and analysis for the implementation of data architecture solutions across enterprise data domains and business applications.
- Plan, architect, and guide delivery of complex cloud data infrastructure solutions at enterprise scale, incorporating emerging architectures like data vault and data mesh, and including purge/archive, backup/recovery, and scalability capabilities.
- Translate requirements into a reusable enterprise data architecture - including an enterprise data model, associated metamodel, common business vocabulary, ontologies, and taxonomies - used to guide enterprise solution development and achieve consistency of information assets across the application portfolio.
- Oversee mapping of package application models when vital, to the standard enterprise data model, to determine impact or assess suitability of vendor solutions.
- Drive business value realization through adoption of data capabilities and data assets (internal and external) while controlling operating costs.
- Partner with data stewards and owners to establish and maintain service level agreements, data quality standards and governance alignment.
- Support the definition of technical standards and practices pertaining to data and information use, security, access and governance.
- 7 +years of experience in information technology, data architecture, large scale project management across multiple hardware/software platforms, and/or large-scale information technology development and implementation.
- 3 years' experience in analytics or data engineering, preferably with big Data and cloud-based environments.
- Experience with building and operating cloud native services and platforms. Preference for MS-Azure and Snowflake.
- In-depth experience of designing and implementing data-centric solutions.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field preferred
- Knowledge of distributed data technologies.
- Knowledge of data modeling, data pipeline concepts and cloud-based infrastructure disciplines.
- Ability to analyze system requirements and develop plans for migrating existing data to an enterprise data platform that aligns with enterprise data model.
- Able to articulate the complete benefits of data architecture from a business perspective, while maintaining the relationship with solution teams, data engineers, DevOps, enterprise architecture, business intelligence, and data science teams.
- Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical and conceptual skills; ability to communicate concepts/theories to a variety of partners.
- Strategic problem solver with well-rounded vision, specific focus on automation of existing processes to drive key business performance.
- Ability to work effectively in a diverse work environment.
