This role will support and lead analytics and visualization for the Technology and Development (T&D) department; partner with colleagues within Collins and across RTX businesses to help shape, define and deliver solutions and to ensure successful adoption and continued collaboration. The ideal candidate is an enthusiastic champion of big data, data visualization and data-driven decision-making offering guidance, adoption methods, training, and assistance to ensure end-user adoption of developed solutions. Responsibilities:

Partner with various stakeholders and drive Avionics-wide data initiatives

Own metrics gathering and drive processes to operationalize reporting, track performance indicators and build dashboards to proactively highlight opportunities and recommend solutions

Interpret and present performance analysis to key stakeholders and executives to influence strategic data-driven decisions

Take vague, non-data requirements and propose data solutions that will best fulfill customers' needs

Collect data from a variety of sources and transform into optimally organized datasets.

Perform statistical analysis on large data sets, leading to insights about improving the business, using tools such as Alteryx, R, Tableau, etc.

Build and automate aesthetically pleasing, user-friendly dashboards that effectively "tell the story" of data insights.

Build data-insight tools that identify improvements and call-to-actions that improve Operations performance

Develop dashboards and tracking metrics to help understand weekly and monthly performance

Be an expert on usage and interpretation of data and be able to explain the nuances to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner

Partner with the Avionics Operations Smart Manufacturing team to develop cross-functional solutions that provide value to our internal Operations customers

Gather requirements from business partners, determining the best way to "tell the story" with data, and building dashboards, adhoc reporting, and presentations as appropriate

Business partners may be software developers, engineers, internal customers, stakeholders, project leads, etc.

Education and Experience Required :

Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience.

U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Basic Qualifications:

Experience in data/BI analytics, large-scale database technologies, data ingestion, processing, cloud-based infrastructure platforms (AWS, Azure).

Experience in a programming language such as Python or R.

Experience with data visualization - especially using Tableau and PowerBI tools.

Knowledge of master data management strategies related to large-scale enterprise datasets.

The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
