Role Overview: The grants compliance coordinator will serve as a liaison between the finance team and program staff in the implementation of controls related to both stat, federal, and private grant programs. Collaborate with grant program staff to implement effective internal control related to grant operations, compliance, and reporting.

Assist agency controller with requirements related to grant invoicing.

Support the centralization and uniformity of grant operations.

Support the transformation of the organizational output to one seeking the “what, so what, now what" culture of insights.

Provide action and outcomes with accountability and optimize both efficiency and effectiveness in the agency’s mission.

A Day in the Life: The essential functions of this role are:

Act as principal liaison between grant program staff and the finance team.

Collect and analyze reports, communicate with grant recipients, and support program staff in implementing current and new internal controls.

Review financial transactions for compliance with applicable rules and regulations.

Communicate best practices for grant administration including conducting research, surveying peer agencies, and participating in OMB/SBOA training.

Internal control review, development, documentation, and oversight.

Support the Director of Finance in maintaining accurate oversight of grant budgeting.

What You'll Need for Success: The successful candidate will have:

Bachelor’s degree (preferred).

Knowledge about grant compliance and internal controls.

Experience successfully administering grant programs (preferred).

Working Knowledge of PeopleSoft Financials (preferred).

Proficient with the suite of Microsoft Office products.

Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical proficiency and careful attention to detail.

Demonstrated ability to translate complex issues into easily understandable formats (written and verbal) for a range of stakeholder audiences.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to digest and synthesize information into action.
