Staff Accountant

Description Robert Half is currently working with a client in search of a dedicated and experienced Staff Accountant to join their dynamic team in Bloomington, MN. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, excellent problem-solving skills and a deep knowledge of accounting procedures.Responsibilities: Maintain and control the general ledger and various sub-ledgers Prepare, review and analyze financial statements and monthly/quarterly reports Manage the financial reporting of operations, including bank reconciliations Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual sales tax returns Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities Collaborate with external auditors to ensure successful audits Develop and implement accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures Research and analyze financial statements and audit-related issuesRequirements Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance 2+ years of experience in an accounting role Proficiency with accounting software, Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel Strong understanding of GAAP Exceptional problem-solving skills Ability to work both independently and within a team Attention to detail and accuracy Excellent written and verbal communication skillsTo learn more about available finance and accounting roles at Robert Half, create an account on the Robert Half website!Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
