As a Graduate Engineer, Transportation - Roadway & Utilities (2 - 5 Years Experience), you will support impactful projects that enhance community connectivity and safety. You will design and support project coordination throughout the full cycle of a variety of roadway and municipal projects from feasibility studies, initial design, final design to supervising construction of design. Projects include roadway design, traffic analysis, pavement management, utilities coordination, and transportation planning for both urban and rural roadways. TKDA HQ 2025 Hybrid Work Environment: Graduate Engineers are encouraged to work in-office 4 days a week while getting started. Once comfortable and successfully managing week to week expectations, enjoy a flexible 3/2 hybrid model (3 days in-office, 2 days remote) to balance work and life. Responsibilities Design for a variety of infrastructure projects (roadway, bike lanes, sidewalks, crosswalks, utilities, trails, storm water drainage) Contribute to the production of preliminary and final plans, specifications, and cost estimates Provide support for projects throughout their entire lifecycle, from initial feasibility studies to construction completion Collaborate within a multi-disciplinary team (including civil, electrical, mechanical, and structural engineers) Serve as a liaison during community meetings and while on-site at projects Oversee construction activities, ensuring compliance with design specifications and quality standards Gain knowledge in various civil engineering areas (municipal infrastructure, roadways, water resources, utilities coordination and traffic) Travel may be required for project needs (community meetings, feasibility study data collection, construction oversight) Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or equivalent 2 - 5 years of experience in transportation and/or municipal engineering projects Strong interpersonal skills and effective verbal and written communication skills Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook) Valid driver's license Upon acceptance of a conditional offer of employment, the selected candidate will be required to complete a standard pre-employment background screening, which consists of Social Security verification, educational verification, review of criminal convictions, and driving history.Preferred Qualifications Active EIT certification or interest in attaining EIT within 6 months of employment Master's degree in civil engineering Interest in specialization within transportation / municipal engineering (ADA, roadway design, utilities, construction coordination, city engineering) The listed salary range reflects base pay for candidates with 2-5 years of related experience.
