Graduate Engineer, Transportation

As a member of our team, you work alongside a group of engineers, designers, and technicians who have established a reputation for generating safe and efficient designs for complex transportation infrastructure systems for the Department of Transportation, local agencies, and design-build contractors. You will be responsible for observing and collecting traffic data, performing intersection evaluations, completing traffic and corridor studies, and conducting analyses using simulation and modeling software. You will also be responsible for preparing preliminary and final designs and developing construction plans for traffic signals, lighting, construction staging, maintenance of traffic, and signing/striping. For this opportunity, we are seeking a qualified candidate who currently resides or plans to relocate within a regular commuting distance of our office. 2025 Location Note: We are moving! Currently still in downtown Saint Paul, we will be fully moved in at our new HQ in the South Loop neighborhood of Bloomington by April 2025. Check out more about our new office! Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in civil engineering Strong interpersonal skills; Ability to work in a team environment Effective verbal and written communication skills Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook) Valid Driver's license Upon accepting a job offer, the selected candidate will undergo a standard pre-employment screening which includes a criminal background check, education verification and motor vehicle record check.Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in civil engineering with an emphasis in traffic or transportation engineering Master's degree in civil engineering with an emphasis in traffic or transportation engineering Previous experience with transportation and/or related traffic projects (school or professional setting) Previous experience or training with AutoCAD and/or Microstation Prior experience or general working knowledge of traffic analysis software, including Synchro / SimTraffic, VISSIM, RODEL, or CORSIM The listed salary range reflects base pay for candidates with 0-2 years of related experience.
