Join us.Job Summary:Provide leadership and technical direction to a team of Engineering Specialists and Technical Leaders engaged in activities supporting product safety, international standards development and regulatory compliance. Work group is primarily focused on enterprise products, systems and components with significant electrical & electronics content (e.g., electric drive and battery powered machinery, automation and remote controls, radio frequency devices, digital applications, product data and wireless communication systems, vision & perception systems, electronic controls, etc.); along with supporting engine, genset, and energy storage system products. Team is also responsible for Enterprise product safety risk assessment tools and processes, and machine control system functional safety support and guidance.What You Will Do: Manage the engineering staff and activities with an emphasis on achieving organizational goals, professional development and continuous improvement. Provide specialized engineering technical support and consulting services to internal Caterpillar product development team clients across the enterprise in collaboration with various process partners in Litigation and Regulatory Legal, Environmental Health & Safety, Technical Information Services, Emissions Regulatory Compliance, and Global Government & Corporate Affairs Provide timely communication updates to chief engineers, technical managers, senior corporate regulatory and litigation council, product managers, new product introduction managers and individuals focused on product safety & compliance Lead, monitor and participate in various International Standards Development and Industry Association activities Monitor and continuously improve internal process performance, quality and cost-effectivenessEducation Requirement:Accredited degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, Computer Science or a closely related technical degree.
