Seeking Part-Time Licensed Barbers!
We are seeking skilled and experienced Barbers who are independent contractors to join our team in our newly renovated shop on the southeast side of Chicago.
OVERVIEW:
This is an exciting opportunity to display your creativity and talent in a mature, professional, dynamic salon environment. Currently, three chair rentals are available. We are open 3 days a week, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 8:00 am until 6:00 pm. Reasonable weekly rent, secure location, and newly renovated shop.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform a variety of barbering services, including haircuts, beard trims, shaves, fades, lineups, and styling.
Communicate effectively with clients to understand their desired look and provide personalized recommendations.
Provide and maintain a safe and hygienic environment for client by thoroughly cleaning tools and capes and
maintaining cleanliness and organization of your workstation.
SKILLS:
As a Barber, you will be responsible for providing exceptional haircare services to your clients.
A Barber license is a state-mandated requirement to provide barbering services.
Proficiency in barbering techniques, including the use of straight razors.
Stay up to date with the latest trends and techniques in barbering.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients by providing excellent customer service.
Active listening to make sure you know what your customer wants and to incorporate feedback.
Hand-eye coordination requires you to make ultra-specific cuts and movements that look amazing even at just a
quick glance.
Creativity - you need to be able to visualize a particular style and make necessary adjustments to your client’s hair
type, face shape, etc.
Time management - do not overbook yourself or underestimate how much time you need to give each client the
desired look. Remember, happy clients give referrals, and that helps increase your clientele.
