We are a small Plaintiff's side Personal Injury and Workers Compensation firm in the Loop. We are looking for a new legal assistant to be a long term fit! We have had very low employee turnover because we are reasonable, fair, and we care about the people that work here. Our firm has a 5 star rating on Google, and we would like to hire someone who can uphold the high standard we have set for ourselves.
We generally work in the office Monday thru Thursday, and Friday only if needed. We are 2 blocks from the Brown/Green/Pink/Orange/Blue line station.
Law firm experience not required. We will train. A positive attitude, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn are the only real prerequisites. We use Microsoft Word, Outlook, Teams, and case management software.
Your duties here would include:
Answering phones.
Making a good first impression on people who call.
Requesting medical records (and being persistent about following up on them!).
Organizing files on paper and in the computer.
E-Filing documents.
Helping attorneys prepare for hearings and trials.
Helping us succeed in bringing justice to those who are injured.
