Job Description:

We are seeking skilled individuals for our warehouse team, including Walking Pickers and Packers. If you have experience with cherry pickers, pallet jacks, forklifts, and shrink-wrapping, we want to hear from you!

Location: Batavia, IL

Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour (Overtime as needed)

Work Schedule:

-Walking Picker: Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM

-Packer: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Key Responsibilities:

Inbound:

-Unload trucks, trailers, and containers using forklifts and pallet jacks.

-Count and inspect products, compare shipments to manifests, and report any discrepancies or damages.

-Move inbound shipments to storage locations and stack merchandise efficiently.

Order Picking (Walking Picker):

-Pick the correct products using cherry pickers, ensuring accuracy in product number, quantity, and type.

-Transport orders to shipping locations and prepare them for dispatch.

-Label, stencil, tag, mark orders, and palletize as required.

Packing (Packer):

-Pack products according to customer specifications and ensure they are ready for shipment.

-Use shrink-wrap machine to secure packages and prepare them for transport.

-Verify contents and ensure all items are accurately packed.

Outbound:

-Verify outgoing shipments for accuracy and completeness.

-Move products into trailers, rail cars, or containers using material handling equipment.

-Sign off on outbound shipments as necessary.

Equipment:

-Maintain equipment in good condition, ensuring safe and efficient operation.

-Adhere to company standards and OSHA requirements.

Inventory:

-Keep accurate records and assist with physical inventories and cycle counts.

-Ensure proper stock rotation and manage inventory adjustments in the computer system.

Other Duties:

-Repack or re-box cases according to customer instructions.

-Repair and consolidate damaged goods.

-Operate shrink-wrap machine, charge forklift batteries, and maintain cleanliness of work areas.

Qualifications:

-High School diploma or GED preferred

-OSHA Forklift and HAZMAT certification is a plus

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

-Ability to lift up to 75 pounds using proper techniques

-Strong emphasis on safety and following directions

-Ability to handle stress and meet tight deadlines

-Flexible with shifting priorities

-Familiar with warehouse systems and available to work any shift

Language Skills:

-Ability to read and interpret SOPs and regulations

-Effective communication skills

Mathematical Skills:

-Basic arithmetic skills

-Understanding of metric system measurements is beneficial

Other Skills:

-Typing and computer operation skills

-Ability to organize, prioritize, and meet deadlines

-Proficient with Microsoft Office tools and company software

Environmental Working Conditions & Physical Effort:

-Industrial warehouse environment with exposure to moving machinery and loud noise

-Exposure to varying temperatures, dust, fumes, and gases

-Standing and walking for most of the day

-Physical activities include bending, stooping, squatting, crawling, climbing, reaching, and lifting up to 75 pounds
