Parkside Meal Prep is a fast growing small business located in Schiller Park, IL. We are an innovative Meal Prep company in an exciting and growing industry. We delivery high quality, gluten-free, fully cooked meals to support our clients' dietary needs and to fuel their busy weeks.

Everything at Parkside Meal Prep is prepared in house, utilizing fresh, seasonal ingredients available at the markets. Our customers place their orders throughout the week, and we shop, cook and box all their meals in our shared commissary kitchen.

Hours of operations are Tuesday-Saturday 10:00 am to 9:00 pm.

Our work environment includes:

Working closely with the head chef/owner on all aspects of cooking maintaining a clean work station.

Working close to other businesses in a commissary kitchen and sharing the dish pit area.

Duties:

-Assist chef in all aspects of preparing meals from scratch

-Follow recipe instructions

-Breaking down meats (beef, chicken, fish)

-Cooking eggs, breakfast items, preparing sauces

-Plating/packaging meals after they are cooked.

-Keeping station clean during the shift

-Take out garbage, sweep, and mop the floor

-Washing dishes

-Opening and Closing with the chef and completing all checklists

Requirements:

-Must write cover letter and send resume to be considered for the role

-Food Handler certification

-High School or Equivalent

-Legal to work in the country

-Over the age of 18

-Need to have a reliable transportation source to get to Schiller Park

-Wear a hat, apron, and non-slip work shoes

-Bring Chef's Knives

-Growth mindset

-Help build kitchen team

Experience level: Looking for a seasoned cook or chef with strong knife skills, time management, and strong communication. The willingness to learn new skills is essential. We will train the right person who has an openness to learn new techniques and be creative in the kitchen.

-Cooking: 3 years (Preferred)

-Culinary Arts Degree or Certificate a plus

-Language: Fluent in English
